German universities are funded by central and regional government and consequently most of them are either free or have low tuition fees. Concentration on research projects is another a reason for the good reputation of German universities. The state provides money for the research projects and this enables the students to do their own projects and learn in actual real-life situations.
German universities offer a large number of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and doctorates aimed at international students. Depending on the university and availability, students can take these courses in English or French, for example. In fact, English programmes are so widespread in Germany at both the undergraduate and graduate level,
that it’s possible to receive your degree without ever taking a class in German. International students are allowed to work for 90 full working days or 180 half working days in a year in order to support themselves.
